Ballerina clock
Vintage United clock, with a ballerina who spins and pirouettes to music, a light-up stage, and a
working clock. The case is gleaming wood with heavy solid brass feet and brass filigree surround to
the window. The top is heavy brass "curtains" that drape over the stage. The clock keeps perfect time.
The light that shines is a red glowing light, and the ballerina goes up and down as she spins. There is a
push-button on the back that doesn't do anything when it is pushed - we think it turns the light on and
off, but at this time, it doesn't work. This is all one piece, and measures 10 inches tall x 12 inches
across x 4 inches deep. No damage, excellent condition. Unknown age and origin, as it was purchased
at an estate sale.
G'day Hutchy777 - apologies for not replying earlier as we are between homes and everything is in storage. Once we settle in I will be going online @ gumtree and selling a lot of what I have "hoarded" but I will send you a photo of the clock.
To the guy I spoke to re the antique beer bottles please a message via MyBower or my email address so that I can send you the photos as well.
Our house sold quicker than expected.
Regards
Hoarder
Hi hoarder, i would like to see some photos of this clock. Though I am a collector of mantle and small free standing clocks it would be interesting to see if it is like the ones i remember. Cheers Mark
I am not a collector but I have saved a Smith's wall clock from a visit to the tip many years ago.
Ths is the type of large (9" diameter) brass wall clock as seen on the walls of many govt. departments and eagerly watched around knock-off time. The clock is still in perfect working order but someone has painted the brass black? Now that I m retired I am going to attempt a restoration (remove the black) with help from the local maritime museum. This clock is available and open to negotiation. I can email photos (front, side and rear) if necessary.
